All Mission Raceway Park and NHRA Rules are in full effect for this event.


Car and Driver Eligibility:

  • All vehicles must be accompanied by the registered owner.
  • All drivers must have a valid drivers license.
  • All vehicles must be capable of meeting the NHRA safety requirements.

Class Breakdown:

Basic Tech Rules & Regulations:

  • All cars must have seat belts.
  • All cars require a 16oz or larger radiator overflow can.
  • All vehicles must drain antifreeze prior to racing (except 1995 or newer stock cars and trucks with sealed factory coolant system). Bring a plastic container.
  • No plastic or glass fuel filters allowed.
  • No plastic oil pressure lines allowed.
  • All vehicles must have a functional neutral safety switch.
  • All batteries must be securely mounted (no bungee cords, rope, wire etc) Relocated batteries please see NHRA Rulebook.
  • The trunk and passenger compartment of the vehicle must be empty prior to racing.
  • Drivers must wear full-length pants and shirts (no shorts, muscle shirts, tank tops, open toed sandals, or clothing made of nylon type material allowed.  T-Shirts allowed)
  • Drivers of cars running 13.99 or quicker are required to wear a NHRA Approved Snell 2005 or newer helmet.
  • A driveshaft loop is required on all cars running slicks.  Not required on cars running 11.49 and slower on street tires.
  • Cars running 11.49 or quicker must have an approved roll bar, SFI belts & jacket. Any convertibles running 11.49 and quicker also require an approved roll bar.
  • Cars running 11.49 and quicker with a standard transmission require a SFI bell housing flywheel and clutch.
  • Cars running 10.99 or quicker must have approved aftermarket axles, harmonic balancer and transmission shield meeting spec 4.1.
  • Cars running 9.99 or quicker must have an NHRA approved roll cage and certified chassis, SFI approved flexplate, transmission shield, window net and master cut-off switch.  Also requires NHRA competition license, SFI approved jacket, pants, gloves and neck collar.

All vehicles must be capable of meeting the NHRA safety requirements according to the vehicles ET and MPH capability ( for further information regarding Safety Requirements please refer to the 2012 NHRA Rule Book - available at most high performance automotive shops throughout Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley, & at The Souvenir Stand at the track).
